For prospective volunteers
Dear prospective volunteers,
Stanford MELODY is always looking for enthusiastic piano teachers to serve our local low-income students. We are low commitment – most teachers take on 1-2 students a quarter, amounting to a time commitment of 1 or 2 hours per week. We want you to be able to share your passion for music and engage in service sustainably. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer piano teacher, please email stanfordgroupmelody@gmail.com with a brief intro (name, class year, musical background). While piano experience is required, we don't expect you to have an extensive musical background – most of our students are either beginners or absolute beginners.
Due to Stanford's COVID restrictions, lessons were solely offered on Zoom during fall quarter. We are hopeful to resume in-person lessons in winter quarter.
Warmly,
Meilinda Sun & Victor Lin
Stanford MELODY Co-Presidents
